Parfait and depth of field

My wife Shirley really enjoys dessert. Tonight she makes herself a Yogurt Parfait. Parfait is a french word, meaning “perfect”. It’s very tempting to taste it when it’s right in front of you. But instead of I shoot it with my new lens, 50mm f/1.2, it illustrates the shallow depth of field of 1.2 aperture. Yummy…

What A Wonderful World!

This is a song recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1967. The opening lyrics read:

I see trees of green, red roses too.

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night

That’s the theme of 2008 Marilyn Bostic Ballet Centre Recital. Dancers have been working hard to prepare for this recital. My daughter Audrey is also in one of the dance. It is truly an amazing show, which was held in the Chandler Center for the Arts. Great job to all the teachers and dancers

All the pictures will be available for viewing and purchase on June 21st.

New blog – New logo

After three months of hard work, my new blog and my new logo is finally ready. My new business name is “Kelvin Photographer”. From now on, all the events will be posted in this blog. All of the archive posts from LKC Photography blog have been imported to this blog.

One of my goals of this new blog/site is simplicity. This is a blog/gallery site which means I’ll have the blog items as well as the galleries in the same site. I like this idea because it is much easier for user to browse between my updates and my photo galleries. Hope you will feel comfortable with the change. Your comment is very welcome!
