Came across this interesting article in BF Stop by Cameron Ingalls about finding your voice for new photographers. There are great advices from some talented photographers. The key is to show the passion of the photographers. Creativity is a lot more important than what gears do you get. I like this quote:

It’s a great reminder from beginner photographers to professional photographers in the area of photojournalism.
